Increase prices without losing customers

Hey Blogger, Can you increase prices without losing customers? Who can say for sure? Businesses lose clients for lots of reasons, and certainly price can be a significant contributor to this. But with the right strategies, the damage from increasing your prices can certainly be mitigated to a degree. I recently received this letter from Jim (name changed to protect his identity) who runs a Chiropractic Clinic: Hi Tyler. I have a question for you. I'd like to increase my adjustment visit fee from $45 to $50 and possibly my new patient exam fee but I'm not sure if it will deter people or how to approach it. Should I just change the price or should I inform people a month ahead of time and use it to market to my current patient base by getting them to refer friends/family in to take advantage of the lower price point? Five on My Mind

Hi Blogger, I think you're going to like this... You see, I keep pretty busy, and while I love sending out my weekly updates with links to great articles and videos, I'm doing a lot more each week to help small business owners than just publishing great content. So with that in mind, I'd like to share my first "Five on My Mind" with you, an update with some cool information and facts that I think you'll find relevant and helpful: 1. My role as a writer. I got on a video kick for a while, and I'm still releasing videos each week, but I actually prefer writing over recording. I've released half a dozen articles recently covering everything from Why I think Donald Trump is going to Win to Breaking Down A Nike Commercial. I even published a short story about two kings! You can see all of these on my blog at tylerzeck.com/blog 2. BioX 4 seems to be working I've got a few (well - more than a few) pounds to shed, so I've started taking a new supplement called BioX 4 created by a wellness company called Nucific. This cool little pill is a Probiotic (to ease digestion), green tea extract (to boost metabolism), and an appetite suppressant. It's only been a week and I already feel like I have more energy in my step - which is part of what it offers. I'll keep you informed on my progress. You can get some information about it here. 3. Marketing Certifications My goal is to know everything about everything when it comes to marketing!. I'm certain I'll never get there, but with that goal in mind I recently earned my Content Marketing Specialist Certification from Digital Marketer and am working towards my Customer Acquisition Specialist Certification. All this so I can stay on top of the most modern strategies and methods to best help you. 4. Seminars coming to town Two upcoming events coming to Calgary that I'm excited about. The first is New Peaks' Reignite Seminar which is coming to Calgary for the first time ever. I always enjoy a New Peaks event and this one, with its business focus, is sure to be a good one. The second is Get Motivated on May 10th. This one boasts some big hitters like Les Brown, Lou Ferrigno, Brian Forte and Dr. Keith Johnson. These events come to other markets as well, so check the website if you're not in Calgary. 5. Motivation Manifesto I recently attended a service at First Alliance Church (my home church) where the topic was fear. The sermon prompted me to once again pick up Brendon Burchard's Motivation Manifesto to re-read the section on fear. If you haven't read the Motivation Manifesto I highly recommend it!
