Last chance to get e-mails

Hi Blogger,

I sent an e-mail out a few days ago indicating that we're drawing a line in the sand and that we will not be sending any e-mails to anyone who hasn't explicitly DOUBLE opted-in expressing their desire to hear from us..
 
I know you're busy and you probably get a lot of e-mails (I know I do). As such, you may not have even noticed the e-mail I sent out the other day.
The bottom line is - I send out some great information every week that is designed to help business owners market themselves better and become more successful.

Growth Chart The 6-Step Marketing Plan Review for Small Business

Publicly traded company’s are required to file quarterly reports for their shareholders and the process involves audits, board meetings and a variety of other activities that enable them to take the pulse of the corporation. 
 

Small businesses owners don’t face the same types of government regulations allow this to prevent them from doing any review at all.

I can't keep doing this!

Hey Blogger,

Some time ago we ran an opt-in campaign for business owners to determine who wanted to opt-in to receive great information from us on a regular basis and who didn't.
 
At the time we had been experimenting with a couple different e-mail providers. Our goal was to use one provider for product campaigns and another one for our regular e-mail broadcasts (the latter had some cool features for e-mail appearance and came from a provider that boasted better than average open rates).
 
Well the result was a disaster. Someone would opt-in for one list but not get e-mails from the other and vice-versa. People who had opted out of one list were still getting other e-mails. The whole experience was one big mess.
 
Of course, that's how it goes in business. Sometimes things go off without a hitch, and sometimes you fall flat on your face. What matters is where you go from your failures.
 
The Marketing Mentorship Academy has tried hard to make the best of a bad situation, but the time has come for us to once again draw the line in the sand.
 
I could go on about CASL regulations and how we NEED your consent to e-mail you, but all that would only be half the truth.
 
The fact is, I don't want ANYBODY getting my e-mails who doesn't want them.
 
I work hard to create programs that will help small business owners build a more successful business, and I put a TON of great FREE content out every week that is designed to add value to my community.
 
Last week, you saw a couple examples of that free content in the blog articles I shared with you.
 
It's my hope that you're open to continuing receiving information.
 
It's true that from time to time I may share with you some information about a product or program (be it mine or someone elses) that costs money - but I am committed to ensuring that these offerings are only ones that are of the utmost value to business owners. I won't spam you with useless crap!
 
But more often than not I'll be sharing regular videos, articles and trainings that are completely free and that enable me to fulfil my mission of Educating, Equiping and Inspiring Small Business Owners.
 
From time to time I may even throw in an incredible offer like I did last week for you to attend my upcoming brainstorming event for free!
 
So CASL laws aside, let me ask you, do you want to get e-mails from me?
 
If you don't, I understand and I wish you nothing but success in all your future endeavors. I hope that one day our paths will cross again and we'll be able to provide value to each other.

We have solved all our e-mail issues, which means this is our new line in the sand. I can't keep sending e-mails to people who haven't confirmed their request because I REFUSE to send this great information to someone who might not want it. No offence to those people, but they're not the ones I'm creating this information for anyway.
 
I'm creating this great content for YOU. The small business owner who wants to take control of their marketing, build a successful business, and realize their dreams.

Have you ever seen some other company (maybe even a competitor) come out with some kind of new promotion, new product, or something totally out there and innovative and thought to yourself "That's Brilliant!".
 
Perhaps sometimes there's even that twang of guilt or regret in your stomach as you wonder "Why didn't I think of that?"
 
These things happen all the time! In today's world of fast-moving innovation, new technology and cool ways of doing things it's a reality that business owners need to face.
 
It's important to remember that someone is going to re-invent your industry, and it's up to you to determine whether you're on that moving train when it happens or you're going to get left in the dust by your competitors.
 
I think of some of the recent struggles by our own Canadian company Research in Motion who of course invented the BlackBerry. They were at one time on the cutting edge of mobile phone technology, then one day they found themselves having to play catchup as the likes of Apple and Android began to take over the marketplace. It's possible that they'll never recover.
 
Fortunately for us there are tools at our disposal that can help prevent us from falling behind like this! (here's one you can check out right now):

When I ran my entertainment company I always knew that we put on a good show, and as such I never took the time to think about how we could do things better.
 
After all, my father taught me "If it ain't broke - don't fix it!"
 
But one day a coach of mine introduced me to the concept of brainstorming.
 
We began to use that tool in our business, brainstorming on topics like "How can I make my product better" and "How can I deliver a better customer experience".
 
Well needless to say, I was BLOWN AWAY by what happened!
 
One simple idea that came from a brainstorming session sent our customer retention rates THROUGH THE ROOF!
 
Another idea resulted in the most successful karaoke contest we had ever run and over $10,000 raised for The Youth Singers of Calgary!
 
Today I'm a huge advocate for brainstorming and we use it at The Marketing Mentorship Academy virtually every day!
